So the council have finally cordoned off the surrounding area of the site located next to Panama gardens on the Whitley Bay links and the contractors have arrived to begin work on the skate park. The plans for the park look amazing and the site itself is not too bad, the park will be flanked by grass banks at either side and is about 15 feet above the beach so hopefully the place wont get full of sand like South Shields park does.
My new flat in North Shields is almost complete and I will be moved in by this coming weekend so I will be keeping a photo diary of the progress on the park in due course, lets hope its ready just in time for the summer!
